Draconis are a clever sort, they spend much of their time hunting in the forest. This has left them attentive and very quick. While they're big they're surprisingly agile and love to play. If you make friends with a Draconis, you have a friend for life.
Draconis is one of the 28 species currently available on Ovipets. Draconis is also one of the very first species on Ovipets.

In order to create starter Draconis, you must first research the species. Researching the species requires owning a draconis of your own. They can either be borrowed or purchased from a friend, or adopted from the adoption center. It takes 24 hours to research the species, but you only need to have the draconis in your inventory to start the research progress.
Gene research Edit
Currently, Draconis have five levels of gene research available, including the first level which you start out with. Each level unlocks new genes which you can research and then splice into eggs in your hatchery.
Level 5 unlocks these options:
- Gender splice
- DNA profiling
- Cloning
The only mutations unlocked at Level 5 are the seasonal ones, which are those for winter, Halloween and Easter.
